1.      Granite & Stone Technologist
Job description
General Summary

This position is responsible for testing, sampling, and  inspecting construction materials or elements in a laboratory or field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications. Level I technicians test, sample, or inspect one or more construction materials or elements.
Primary responsibilities:
·        Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
·        Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
·        Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors, to verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawing and specifications.
·        Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, to supervisor to provide accuracy.
·        Provide technical support and direction regarding project material controls including delivery dates, construction schedules and design requirements to ensure additional costs are minimized.
·        Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates to meet changing job requirements.
·        Provide necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials to ensure a quality job.
·        Develop job essential data including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, and equipment to ensure accurate estimates and bids.
·        Research historical data and productivity analysis reports in order to compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
·        Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures to support accuracy of bid submission. 
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.

Work Experience

0 - 2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Scheduling and AGTEK Take-off software.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with a calculator.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
2.      Quality Assurance Inspector

In this position you will be responsible for conducting pre-orientation inspections with superintendent and formal inspections after the house is complete to ensure quality standards are being met.

Core Responsibilities:
Tasks you will perform include but are not limited to: Conducts pre-orientation inspections with the superintendent and formal inspections after the house is complete. Also inspects homes during construction to make sure quality standards are being met.
·        Ensures that all other Quality Assurance inspections (1-4, 6-7 & 9)  are completed by the Superintendent in accordance with the QAI process.
·   Works with Construction Superintendents and division management team to measure and communicate home readiness and make recommendations related to customer orientation and delivery dates
·        Prepares paperwork for field and office, based upon observations.
·        Inspects final trim, flooring, tubs, sinks, concrete, drywall, texture, and paint.
·        Identifies inconsistencies between trade partners’ scope of work and work performed where applicable. Identifies issues with product performance and installation where applicable and reports issues to the construction/purchasing teams for follow-up.
·         Maintains strong working relationships with construction, purchasing, warranty, trade partners and engineers.

Experience in Home building or Construction is desired. Successful candidates must be an independent worker, detail oriented, and have a track record of effective problem solving and decision making accomplishments. Additionally, this role requires excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.

3.      Accounting Officer
General  Purpose  of the job:
  • To support the CFO and Senior Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department.
  • To relieve the CFO and Senior Accountant of certain responsibilities that will allow them to spend a greater portion of their time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Budget and Variance issues, and Forecasting.
Primary Duties  and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules on the FAS Software System; provide monthly detail to the Senior Accountant for General Journal entries; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Maintain Purchase Order Processing system.
  • Manage employee credit card applications and charges.
  • Process Accounts Payable paperwork at completion of the check run.
  • Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Finance/Accounting Department.
  • Prepare labels and maintain files as needed within the department.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
  • Assist Senior Accountant with payroll system and payroll related items.
  • Assist CFO with 401(k) system.
  • Manage petty cash account.
  • Assist the CFO in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies (except Employee Benefits, which are maintained by the HR Department).
  • Assist the CFO with facility support and security issues.
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice – by the CFO or Senior Accountant.
Education Required:
  • A Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required. Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university
  • Course work in job costing is recommended.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting is required.

Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness.
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Must be skilled in use of MS Word and must be a very good writer in order to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department.
  • Must have very good verbal skills.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
